So apparently they are making an audio version of the bible. Well, at least the Old Testament. (This is not to be confused with my earlier and lauded post about the Brick Bible.) If you didn't know, I don't really support audio books. Read a book...listen to music...don't mix the two up. You don't read a sheet of music and get the true feeling. Same way you can't listen to a book and get the same emotion.
Nevertheless, audio Bible here we come. And who else would they get to be the voice of Moses? Why not Academy Award Winner Forrest Whittaker? And it turns out it's an ALL BLACK CAST. (Probably much like the original, though you'd never know if from Hollywood's take on the Bible.)
The ambitious production, to be released in November on 72 CDs and on iTunes, features an all-black cast of more than 200 actors, singers and clergy. The dramatic performances are set to an original musical score performed by the Prague Symphony Orchestra. Its times like these I wish I could be a fly on the wall in Aryan Nation meetings. They must be fit to be tied over this. A black man...as Moses? Ha! Take that!

I'm hoping there is a cover of Jesus Christ Superstar somewhere in there. Is James Earl Jones still alive? I can't remember now. If he is, he needs to be up in there. His voice is like sex on a stick. Same goes for Issac Hayes. Too bad Barry White is dead, cuz his voice is golden, too.
