Remember that border fence situation? Well, it appears that the rich areas aren't getting fenced in while the poor ones are.

Are you surprised? Because I'm certainly not.

An interesting take

Today's New York Times details how the labor unions are supporting and condemning (yes, both) the current legislation on immigration reform. It's an interesting take from a different perspective. I can't say that I'm surprised that there are unions on either side of the legislation, but I was keen on the part of the article that detailed how some unions believe that legalizing immigrants could lead to a resurgence for the labor movement as a whole, as they too will be able to be unionized and probably have the greatest need for unionization.

It's an interesting read that's pretty quick and dirty. Definitely worth it.
