Surge Protector

So after a five minute storm last night, I lost power for about two-three hours. Apparently there are still some without power in the area. On top of that I had to go to a friend's house to charge my phone and then I came back and it was on...like 3 hours after it went out.

On top of that, because of the sizable investment he made in a plasma TV, we have this fancy battery-backup surge protector behind the TV. It was beeping incessantly for at least 45 minutes. How freaking annoying.

You know, the power only goes out when you're looking forward to watching things saved on the DVR and you finally get the time to watch them.
