File this under: I'll believe it when I see it

There are some grand plans in Campus Martius/Cadillac Center in Detroit. Grand plans for a modern building to have housing, a gym, major retailers and more. It's actually planned to go in the parking lot across from where I used to work. It's an area that's totally underutilized right now, so I'm happy about the plans....

...but the pessimist in me says that it's too good to be true. Remember how we were going to get department stores back downtown and stuff. Yeah...and waterfront casinos. Right.

It sure looks neat though, doesn't it?
