Detroit City Council wants to "independently" investigate the text message scandal.
The reason: Beatty has resigned. Apparently the scandal in and of itself wasn't enough.

And where the flying heck is Kwame? Come on man, at least defend your choice to go to the Residence Inn Marriott in Madison Heights of all places. You're the mayor of Detroit for crying out loud. Come on.

I feel like grabbing a bucket of badu (what my mom called popcorn when she was little) and settling in to watch this stuff unfold. I mean, it's sad but it's freaking hilarious.
