Pour a Forty: Sunshine

Sunshine, a gorilla that was living at the Detroit Zoo on loan from the Columbus zoo, died this week. He was 34 years old. Sunshine was living in Mr. SG's favorite exhibit at the Detroit Zoo, the Great Apes of Harambee.

For some reason this makes me so sad. I don't know if it's just his death, the fact that his life was in captivity and he didn't get a free and wild life or the fact that his species is dying out at alarming rates and he's just one more at the end of the line.
