Respect this

The Detroit Free Press seems obsessed this week with the 40th anniversary of Aretha Franklin's "Respect" being the number one song in the country. Here's yet another pointless day of reporting on it. In this installment they have random people sing the song.

It's a good song and a classic and I understand it is a Motown hit, but seriously. Let's cut the games. The state budget needs to be fixed, kids need opportunities and hoes are dying. Maybe we should do some reporting on those issues and not worry about a four-decades-old song. And by the way, only the last story in that sentence made it to the freep.com front page. The others had to be found through clicking on sections or searching.

Detroit Free Press--today you get a golden calculator, cause you are tripping down a slippery slope with your shoes untied.

WHERE DID YOU FIND THE GOLDEN CALCULATOR? OMG. OMG.

HOES ARE INDEED DYING. Maybe the world would have more R-E-S-P-E-C-T if people would cut the games.
